Vote for Mississippi boys and girls high school athlete of the week March 6-11

There were several top performers across the state in boys and girls high school sports, but only one can be voted athlete of the week for March 6-11.

Fans may vote in the poll below one time per hour per device. The poll closes at noon on Friday.

Boys nominations

Matt Adcock, Simpson Academy: Adcock went 4-of-4 with four RBIs and a home run in Simpson Academy's 12-3 victory over Brookhaven Academy on March 7.

Judson Byars, Biloxi: Byars had nine RBIs in three games for Biloxi. He went 3-of-4 with one double and five RBIs in Friday's 9-7 victory over D'Iberville.

Cade Clinton, Sumrall: Clinton combined for three hits, two home runs, and nine RBIs in wins over Seminary and Perry Central.

Matthew Cochran, Jackson Prep: The senior went 3-of-3 with a double and three RBIs in Jackson Prep's 11-2 victory over Central Hinds Academy on March 7.

Girls nominations

Ashton Fairley, George County: Failey went 5-of-12 with six runs and two RBIs in wins against Poplarville, Wayne County and Oak Grove.

Gracey Harbour, South Panola: The senior pitched seven innings, allowed four hits and finished with seven strikeouts in South Panola's 1-0 victory over Neshoba Central.

Lily Ochodnicky, Pisgah: The senior went 4-of-4 with three runs, five RBIs and a home run in Pisgah's 20-6 victory over Greene County on Saturday.

Grace Wallis, Northwest Rankin: The sophomore went 4-of-4 with four RBIs and a home run along with five strikeouts in six scoreless innings as Northwest Rankin cruised to a 11-0 victory over Madison Central on Thursday.
