Jeremiah Williams, a senior on the Evangel Christian boys basketball team, was voted Montgomery area boys high school athlete of the week for Dec. 13-19.

Williams received 6,530 votes, or 44.49% of the total. In second place was Ketwan Reeves of Jeff Davis, who earned 21.28% of the vote and 3,124 in all.

Dee Smith, Park Crossing

  • Scored 24 points to go with 10 assists and seven rebou to lead team to road win over Bullock County on Dec. 17

Jamal Cooper, Montgomery Academy

  • Had 15 points, six assists, six steals and three rebounds in a win over Alabama Christian in the Jack Schweers Capital City Classic on Dec. 18

Jeremiah Williams, Evangel Christian

  • Scored 27 points in a win over Restoration Academy on Dec. 17

Ketwan Reeves, Jeff Davis

  • Scored 25 points and nailed five 3-pointers in win over Brewbaker Tech on Dec. 16

  • Scored 22 points with five treys at Lee on Dec. 13

Laneer Surles, Lee

  • Scored a team-high 17 points in a win over Class 7A No. 9 Jeff Davis on Dec. 13
