Saniya Jackson is the Montgomery-area girls high school athlete of the week for Jan. 17-23
Park Crossing freshman Saniya Jackson was voted the Montgomery-area girls high school athlete of the week for the third week of January.
Jackson garnered 39.61% of the total vote, or 13,582 submissions in all. In second place was Trinity freshman Mya Moskowitz.

Erin Perry, G.W. Carver
Scored a team-high 28 points in a 68-47 win over Robert E. Lee on Jan. 18
Lillie Boggan, Georgiana
Had 24 points, 11 steals and eight rebounds in a 67-53 win over Brantley on Jan. 20
Scored 25 points in a 62-59 win at Red Level on Jan. 18
Mya Moskowitz, Trinity
Scored 15 points and grabbed 12 rebounds in a 61-40 win over Montgomery Academy on Jan. 21 for her first career double-double
Had 19 points and 12 rebounds in a 71-67 loss to Class 6A No. 2 Park Crossing on Jan. 22
Nasiyah Jernigan, Marbury
Reeled in 24 rebounds (14 offensive) in addition to eight points and six steals in a 55-31 win over Holtville on Jan. 21
Had 10 points and 17 rebounds in a 63-37 loss to Elmore County on Jan. 20
Saniya Jackson, Park Crossing
Scored 31 points, hitting 15 of 16 shots from the floor, in a 94-38 win over Lee on Jan. 21
Scored 20 points in a 71-67 win over Class 3A No. 5 Trinity on Jan. 22
Scored 13 points in a 64-10 win at Lanier on Jan. 18
