Kendarius Parker named the Montgomery-area high school boys athlete of the week Jan. 3-9

Prattville senior Kendarius Parker was voted the Montgomery-area boys high school athlete of the week for Jan. 3-9.

Parker received 10,639 of 21,048 total votes, good for 50.55%. In second place was Blayne Battaglia of Pike Road.

Blayne Battaglia, Pike Road

  • Scored 28 points and went 6-of-8 from 3-point range in a 73-38 win over Beauregard on Jan. 5

Cole Caddell, Montgomery Academy

  • Scored a team-high 19 points, hit five 3-pointers and grabbed six rebounds against Trinity on Jan. 7, leading the Eagles to a 51-46 win with two of their top players in foul trouble

Dee Smith, Park Crossing

  • Had a triple-double with 17 points, 11 assists and 10 rebounds in a 63-57 win over Carver on Jan. 4

  • Dished out 10 assists, grabbed eight rebounds and came up with four steals in a 62-38 win over Lanier on Jan. 7

  • Had 12 assists, seven rebounds and three steals in a 66-34 win at Andalusia on Jan. 8

Kendarius Parker, Prattville

  • Scored 25 points, grabbed five rebounds and blocked two shots to lead the Lions to an 86-77 win over No. 2 Jeff Davis on Jan. 7

Khaliq Smith, Brantley

  • Scored 40 points to lead the Bulldogs to a 90-84 win over Red Level on Jan. 4

  • Scored a team-high 15 points in a 59-43 win over Straughn on Jan. 6

Tremari Longmire, Georgiana

  • Posted an 11-point, 10-rebound double-double with five steals in a 52-50 win at No. 7 J.F. Shields on Jan. 7; scored the game-winning basket with three seconds remaining
