Henry Forte voted Morris/Sussex Wrestler of the Week for Jan. 23-29

After four days of voting, Delbarton senior Henry Forte was selected as the Morris/Sussex Wrestler of the Week.

Forte won a second straight Morris County Tournament title, defeating top seed and state medalist, Anthony Moscatello of Mount Olive, 7-4 in the 215 pound finals on Saturday. The senior went 4-0 in the two-day tournament and helped lead the Green Wave to a 14th straight team title. He finished the week with a 5-1 record.

Here were the other nominees:

Brandon John Dean

West Morris sophomore

Dean claimed his first Morris County Tournament title on Saturday, recording falls in all four of his matches at 144 pounds en route to the championship.

Nick DiFrancescantonio

Hanover Park freshman

In his county tournament debut, DiFrancescantonio captured the Morris County title on Saturday at 106 pounds. The top seed went 4-0 in the tournament, recording a technical fall, fall and two decisions. The freshman went 6-0 for the week and improved his season record to 21-2.

Anthony Piemonte

Mount Olive freshman

Piemonte claimed his first Morris County Tournament title on Saturday, defeating previously unbeaten and second seeded, Jason Chrostowski of Butler, in the 113-pound finals. The top seed went 3-0, recording two falls and a decision. Piemonte finished the week with a 4-0 record and won by fall in a dual match against West Morris last Tuesday to help the Marauders secure the win.
