Omar Vasquez of Morris Hills voted Morris/Sussex Wrestler of the Week for Week 4

After three days of voting, Morris Hills senior Omar Vasquez has been selected as the Morris/Sussex Wrestler of the Week for Week 4.

The Scarlet Knights senior 113-pounder has rattled off 10 straight wins since dropping the first-place match of the Morris Knolls Tournament in the opening week of the season. Last week, he notched six wins, including a 2-1 decision over Roxbury's Christian Castro and bonus-point victories against Newton's Keegan Murtagh and Montville's Aiden Dembowski.

Jeremy Bocchino

Morristown freshman

The freshman, who wrestles predominantly at 165 pounds, improved to 11-2 on the season with five wins providing six points for the Colonials, including in wins over Bloomfield and Hackensack. Four of his wins came by first-period pinfall, with the other being a forfeit.

AJ DeAngelis

Pope John senior

The Lions senior came through with a pair of big wins in the team's duals against Livingston and Montville. Against the Lancers, he came from behind to take down Rory Subarsky, 9-8, at 165 pounds. Two nights later, he scored a defensive pin against Billy Templeton to clinch the win against the Mustangs.

Joe Fongaro

Boonton senior

The Rutgers commit notched the 100th win of his career with a 21-6 technical fall against Kittatinny's Reece Smith on Jan. 12. He followed it up with pins in matches against Pompton Lakes and Rutherford. With four wins on the week, Fongaro improved to 14-0 on the season.

Brody Guerra

Newton senior

Guerra blasted past the .500 mark on the season as he collected five wins on the week with no losses at 215 pounds. He collected a 3-2 win over Christopher Tlatelpa before going 3-0 at the Henry Boresch Duals, including a 1-0 win over South Plainfield's Aidan MacKenzie and a first-period pin of Hanover Park's Art Longo.

William Schlegel

Mendham senior

Schlegel won all five of his matches on the week at 150 pounds to improve to 12-2. The Minutemen senior edged Mount Olive's Tyler Bienus, 6-5, before pinning his next four opponents in 31 seconds or fewer.
