The Naples Daily News Athlete of the Week poll for Feb. 20-25 is here.

Each week the Naples Daily News staff will select one finalist in each high school sport. Nominees are derived from scores and stats emailed in by Collier County’s coaches during the week to sports@naplesnews.com. Readers can then vote in the online poll to determine who the Athlete of the Week will be.

The last winner was Barron Collier girls wrestler Kiera Partello, who totaled 4,843 votes, or 64.58 percent, of the 7,499 votes cast.

The poll will be posted at naplesnews.com each Monday, and voting will end at 10 a.m. Thursday each week. The winner will be announced on the @ndnprepzone Instagram page and on Twitter at @NDN_PrepZone. The winning athlete will receive a shirt courtesy of BSN Sports.

Here are the nominees for Feb. 20-25:

Boys Soccer

Ty Collins, Naples

Scored Naples' lone goal in the Class 5A State Championship match, a 3-1 decision against American Heritage in DeLand.

Baseball

Johnny King, Naples

Notched a nine-out save, allowing no hits and just a pair of walks over three innings with seven strikeouts in a 2-0 win over Gulf Coast. King also went 1 for 3 at the plate with an RBI.

Softball

Jaylynn Rodriguez, Immokalee

Went 4 for 7 at the plate, plating five runs and scoring a pair of runs in two wins over Lely and Riverdale.

Boys Lacrosse

Collin Quinsey, Barron Collier

Notched 19 saves in two wins over Naples and Sarasota, helping the Cougars move to 4-0 on the year.

Boys Wrestling

Austin Foye, Palmetto Ridge

Defeated Lakewood Ranch's Nate Smith in the 285-pound weight class of Class 3A-Region 2, punching his ticket to states.

Boys Tennis

Lucas Fink, St. John Neumann

Defeated his opponent in No. 1 singles 6-3, 6-2, while also winning 6-1 and 6-0 in doubles alongside Grayson Shephard.

Girls Tennis

Madison Knoth, Barron Collier

Secured a pair of 6-0 wins in No. 3 singles to help Barron Collier defeat Naples 4-3.

Boys Track and Field

William Montanye, Gulf Coast

The junior won the mile at the Ram Invite at Sarasota Riverview Friday night in a new school record time of 4:23.07.

Girls Track and Field

Nedgine Morancy, Lely

Placed second in the triple jump, jumping 36 feet, 5.75 inches at the Loretta Purish Invitational.
