Vote for the News-Star's Athlete of the Week (Oct. 21), featuring 20 candidates
Voting is now open for the News-Star athlete of the week poll that includes 20 athletes from the Monroe area.
Fans can vote for their favorite athlete until noon Thursday. The winner will be announced on Friday.
These athletes were chosen by their performance in the previous week.
Demardrick Blunt, Carroll: Blunt was 4-for-8 for 43 yards and a TD, and one interception. He had nine receptions for 33 yards in a 29-8 win over Franklin Parish.
Amareya Greeley, Carroll: Greeley had 166 yards on 26 carries and a TD. He had two receptions for 20 yards and a TD.
Ralph Singleton, Carroll: Singleton had 11 carries for 74 yards and two TDs.
Javion White, Franklin Parish: White had five receptions for 58 yards, a TD, and an interception.
Jaylon Nichols, Neville: Nichols had 12 carries for 8- yards and two TDs in a 43-7 win over Tioga.
Kaleb Vaughn, Neville: Vaughn had a kickoff return for 84-yards and a TD. He also had two receptions for 13 yards.
Landon Graves, Ouachita Christian: Graves threw 14-for-25 for 176 yards for two TDs, and had 10 carries for 53 yards for a TD in a 34-10 win over Cedar Creek.
Tate Hamby, Ouachita Christian: Hamby had six receptions for 46 yards and a TD. Defensively, he had a tackle and interception.
Zach White, Ouachita Christian: White had 16 carries for 85 yards and two TDs, a reception for 58 yards and a TD with four tackles on defense.
Zach Jackson, Ouachita Parish: Jackson threw 8-for-23 for 120 yards, a TD, and two interceptions in a 45-14 loss to West Monroe.
Carldell Sirmons, Ouachita Parish: Sirmons had 16 carries for 112 yards for a TD, and three receptions for 35 yards and a TD.

Jordan Hayes, Ruston: Hayes had eight carries for 171 yards and two TDs in a 48-7 win over West Ouachita.
Aaron Jackson, Ruston: Jackson had four receptions for 92 yards and a TD.
Jadon Osborne, Ruston: Osborne threw 11-for-13 for 162 yards for three TDs.
John Barr, Sterlington: Barr had three receptions for 62 yards and a TD in a 48-7 win over North Webster.
Trammell Colvin, Sterlington: Colvin had 12 carries for 165 yards and two TDs.
Dylan Downs, Sterlington: Downs threw 6-for-7 for 140 yards and two TDs.
Gage DeJean, West Monroe: DeJean had 20 carries for 145 yards and a TD in a 45-14 win over Ouachita Parish.
Hayden Federico, West Monroe: Federico threw 5-for-10 for 69 yards and two TDs. He had 34 yards and scored three TDs.
Antonio Ford, West Ouachita: Ford had 26 carries for 78 yards for a TD in a 48-7 loss to Ruston.

The Athlete of the Week poll is comprised of athletes from all LHSAA-sanctioned sports. In the fall, that also includes cross country, volleyball, cheerleading and swimming.
