After four days of voting, Bergen Tech junior middle distance runner Dylan Decambre has been selected as the North Jersey Boys Track and Field Athlete of the Week for Jan. 16-22.

Decambre, running unattached at the New Balance Games, finished second in the club 1,000 meters, running the fastest North Jersey 1,000 race of the year.

Here were the other nominees:

Dan Mikay

Demarest senior thrower

Mikay is better known as a discus thrower, but will throw all the weights at Cornell next year. He won the first shot put title at the Garfield High jump/shot put meet and heads the best two man shot put team in the area.

Connor Munson

Westwood senior multi events

Once again Munson wasn't content to excel at just the pole vault at the New Balance Games, taking fourth in the 55 hurdles in a North Jersey best 7.73 and third in the high jump at 6 feet in addition to fourth at the pole vault at 14-6. He also won the high jump at the Garfield meet.

Nathan Storz

Emerson senior jumper

He has been the best triple jumper in the area and proved it again at the varsity triple jump held in conjunction with the Armory Frosh-Novice meet, jumping 43 to easily win the event. He also took second in the long jump.

Max Zuckerman

Pascack Hills senior pole vaulter

Another day, another 15 foot vault, another win for Zuckerman, this time at the New Balance Games at the Armory Track Center. Thursday, he vaults against a great field in the Millrose Games boys pole vault.
