Devin Rivas voted North Jersey Football Player of the Week for Week 8
After four days of voting, North Arlington quarterback Devin Rivas has been selected as the North Jersey Football Player of the Week for Week 8.
The senior completed 18 of 22 passes for 252 yards and four touchdowns, including the game-winner on the final play, in the Vikings' 28-21 win over Lyndhurst to clinch a playoff spot.

Glen Falone
Garfield senior
The senior completed 20 of 28 passes for 322 yards and four touchdowns, and also ran for two scores, in the Boilermakers' 38-21 win over St. Mary.
James Hickey
Indian Hills QB/LB
The senior threw for 122 yards and a touchdown, and ran for 53 yards and two scores, in the Braves' 29-21 win over Bergen Tech. He also blocked a punt and returned it for a touchdown.
Da’zie Jones
DePaul wide receiver
The sophomore caught eight passes for 119 yards and two touchdowns in the Spartans' 21-10 win over Delbarton to clinch the Super Football Conference White Division title.
Adrian King
Hackensack RB/DB
The junior ran for three touchdowns in the Comets' 47-7 win over Passaic on Friday night. It was Hackensack's first win since mid-September.
Danny McClanahan
Mahwah QB/DB
The junior threw for 121 yards and a touchdown, and ran for 103 yards and two scores, in the Thunderbirds' 20-14 win over Dumont. He also made 11 tackles on defense. The win unexpectedly vaulted Mahwah into the playoffs.
Caleb Paduani
Lakeland running back
The senior carried the ball 16 times for 170 yards and three touchdowns in the Lancers' 35-0 win over High Point on Friday night. It was Lakeland's second win of the season.
Quincy Porter
Bergen Catholic wide receiver
The sophomore caught touchdown passes of 62, 51 and 24 yards in the Crusaders' 42-27 win over St. Peter's Prep on Saturday. Bergen Catholic is 7-1 with one regular-season game left to play.
Will Scordato
Ramapo wide receiver
The senior caught two touchdown passes in the Raiders' 38-12 win over Ridgewood on Friday night. Ramapo earned the No. 2 seed in North 1, Group 4.
Van Weber
Rutherford quarterback
The senior completed 13 of 20 passes for 254 yards and two touchdowns in the Bulldogs' 24-10 win over Wood-Ridge in the NJIC championship game. It's Rutherford's second straight league title.
