Bergen Catholic voted North Jersey Football Team of the Week for Week 13
After four days of voting, Bergen Catholic has been selected as the North Jersey Football Team of the Week for Week 13.
The Crusaders (12-0) secured the No. 1 ranking in the USA TODAY NETWORK New Jersey Top 25 with a 28-7 victory over Don Bosco in the Non-Public Group A final. They totaled 284 of their 364 yards on the ground, with senior RB Ryan Butler rushing for 130 yards and two TD and junior RB Saeed St. Fleur rushing for 122 yards.

Dumont
The Huskies (9-1) continued their recent Thanksgiving week dominance over Tenafly with a 14-7 win. It’s their seventh consecutive holiday victory over the Tigers. Senior RB Devon Turner carried 22 times for 120 yards and scored the winning TD on a 1-yard run. Senior Judah Salcedo and junior Jackson Lockhart had double-digit tackles.
Eastside
The Ghosts (8-4) tied the program record for wins in a season with a 32-6 Thanksgiving week victory over crosstown rival Kennedy. It ties the record shared by teams from 1954 (8-0) and 1960 (8-1). Senior Ahsin Jacobs scored two TD and senior Amir Smith had 11 catches for 135 yards in Passaic County’s last remaining holiday rivalry.
Hackensack
The Comets (4-6) registered their first shutout of the season with a 28-0 win over Thanksgiving rival Teaneck. It’s their eighth consecutive holiday win over the Highwaymen. They scored a TD in each quarter, with senior Curtis Whiting carrying 15 times for 95 yards and two scores. Senior Hassan Bailey had a team-high eight tackles.
Northern Highlands
The Highlanders (12-0) continued their quest for a perfect season with a 35-30 win over Ramapo in the North 1, Group 4 final. In a game postponed a week due to the death of Ramapo coach Drew Gibbs, senior QB Enzo Arjona threw three TD passes, including a 15-yard score to senior WR Kyle Major with 29 seconds remaining in the game.
