Alexandra Semperi voted North Jersey Girls Track Performer of the Week for May 15-21

After four days of voting, Hasbrouck Heights sophomore Alexandra Semperi has been selected as the North Jersey Girls Track Performer of the Week for May 15-21.

She won the long jump and took second at the 100 and 200 at the County Seat Invitational, leading the Aviators to the team title.

Here were the other nominees:

Karen Arevalo

North Bergen senior

Arevalo was second in both the Hudson County long and triple jumps and was fifth in the 400.

Alyssa Craigwell

Secaucus sophomore

She followed up her triple win at the North Hudson championships, with another one at the Hudson County championships, winning the shot, discus and javelin and setting a school record in the shot.

Samantha Gordon

Pequannock senior

Gordon was third in the Morris County championships in the discus throw and set an enormous personal best in winning the County Seat Invitational by throwing 119-2.

Dior Holliday

Manchester senior

Holliday won the 100 meters and took third place in the 200 at the County Seat Invitational.
