VOTE: Northeast Florida high school Athlete of the Week poll, September 5-10
The results are in.
Ridgeview's Haley Robinson is the Florida Times-Union's second Athlete of the Week for the 2022-23 high school sports season, covering the week of Aug. 29-Sept. 3.
Robinson, a junior middle blocker on the Panthers' volleyball team, recorded 20 kills and 20 blocks as Ridgeview defeated Fleming Island and Mandarin. She came one dig away from a digs-kills-blocks triple-double against Mandarin.
She placed first in a vote that also included top performers Jalen Armstead (Ribault football), Grant Doherty (Ponte Vedra boys cross country), Cora Foxwell-Jones (Fernandina Beach girls swimming), Spencer McCranie (Columbia boys golf), Helena Rios (Bartram Trail girls golf), Brody Singley (West Nassau boys swimming), Marcelis Tate (Fletcher football) and Arianna Vializ (Mandarin girls cross country).

The Times-Union gathers nominees from scores, stats and nominations e-mailed to the sports desk during the week by coaches across Northeast Florida. Coaches can e-mail these stats and scores to preps@jacksonville.com.
This week's voting begins Monday morning and closes at 10 a.m. Thursday. Votes are restricted to once per device per hour.

Jackson Berzsenyi, Wolfson boys swimming
He won the 200-yard freestyle and 100 butterfly in a dual meet against Englewood, then won the 200 individual medley and 100 free to lead the Wolfpack to first place at the Terry Parker Invitational.
Ally Cavanaugh, Bishop Kenny volleyball
The senior recorded 18 kills in the Crusaders' sweeps of Yulee and Bolles, reaching the 1,000-kill mark for her career.
Chavaris Dumas, Palatka football
The senior defensive back intercepted two passes and returned a punt 91 yards for a touchdown as the Panthers topped Alachua Santa Fe 33-19, continuing an unbeaten start.
Jacob Harvey, Creekside boys cross country
The senior ran 17:01 at the Bob Hans Invitational to win the individual title and lead the Knights to the team championship as well.
Katelyn Lawrence, St. Augustine girls cross country
The junior shattered her personal best by 13 seconds to run 18:57 at the Coach Joe McKinney Classic, winning the individual and team titles.
Maryn McDade, Fleming Island girls swimming
The reigning state champion won both sprints, the 50 and 100 free, and a pair of relays to lead the Golden Eagles to victory against Orange Park.
Noah Reynolds, Fernandina Beach boys golf
The senior shot a 34 at Amelia River to win medalist honors in the Pirates' victory against Bolles.
Cam Smith, Baker County football
The senior running back scored touchdowns of 53 and 95 yards before his 80-yard game-winner to defeat Richmond Hill 35-32 in Saturday night's Border Classic.
