The results are in.

Beachside swimmer Haylee Hite is the Florida Times-Union's 10th Northeast Florida Athlete of the Week for the 2022-23 high school sports season, covering the week of Oct. 24-29.

The freshman won two events at the District 3-2A girls swimming meet, leading the Barracudas to second place in their first-ever district competition.

She placed first in a vote that also included top performers Kasey Casiple (Ridgeview volleyball), Symeon Cobham-Portorreal (Jackson football), Danielle Fendenheim (Mandarin bowling), Joey Hage (Tocoi Creek boys golf), T.J. Lane (Middleburg football), Violet Robbins (Bolles girls golf), Matt Ryan (Nease boys cross country), Brody Singley (West Nassau boys swimming) and Lindy White (Ponte Vedra girls cross country).

This week's vote

It's time to vote for Florida Times-Union's Athlete of the Week for the week of October 31-November 5, 2022.

The Times-Union gathers nominees from scores, stats and nominations e-mailed to the sports desk during the week by coaches across Northeast Florida. Coaches can e-mail these stats and scores to preps@jacksonville.com.

This week's voting begins Monday morning and closes at 10 a.m. Thursday. Votes are restricted to once per device per hour.

Here are the nominees for Oct. 31-Nov. 5:

Ava Brinkman, Fleming Island swimming

The Golden Eagles sophomore scored 448.85 points to win the Class 3A state championship in girls diving.

Jillian Candelino, Bolles girls cross country

The senior ran 17:43 to lead Bolles to the Class 2A team championship and repeat as 2A individual champion, Jacksonville's first back-to-back individual state girls winner since 1983.

Nancy Cox, Ponte Vedra girls golf

Shot a 67, including three consecutive birdies, to win medalist honors and lead the Sharks to the Region 1-2A championship at Quail Heights.

Mehdi Elaoufir, Stanton boys swimming

The senior won the Region 1-2A championship in the boys 200-yard individual medley as well as the 100 freestyle.

Rylan Hale, Yulee football

The junior athlete blocked a punt, returned a fumble for a touchdown and added rushing and receiving scores as the Hornets beat Menendez 35-7.

Sydney Kambach, Christ's Church volleyball

The junior setter recorded 40 assists and 19 digs as the Eagles defeated Gainesville Oak Hall to win the Region 1-2A title.

T.J. Lane, Middleburg football

The senior rushed 38 times for 321 yards and all four touchdowns as the Broncos defeated Fernandina Beach 28-14.

Henry Robards, Episcopal boys golf

Shot a 70 in the Region 1-1A tournament at Marsh Landing, leading the Eagles to the boys team title.

Matt Ryan, Nease boys cross country

The Panthers' junior raced to the Class 4A boys individual championship, running 15:35.4 at Apalachee Regional Park.
