Vote for The Observer/Deer Park High School Football Offensive Player of the week

Here are the nominees for the Charlotte Observer/Deer Park Water high school football offensive player of the week.

Eligible players are at schools in Mecklenburg, Cabarrus, Gaston, Iredell, Lincoln and Union Counties in North Carolina and in York and Lancaster Counties in South Carolina.

The weekly winner will receive a trophy from Deer Park.

This week’s nominees

Gabe Boliver, Pine Lake Prep: in a 46-6 win over Roanoke Rapids, Bolivar had 17 carries for 210 yards and three touchdowns. He also had three 2-point conversion runs.

Tyler Budge, Weddington: 18-of-33 passing for 206 yards and three touchdowns in Friday’s 44-22 win over West Forsyth.

Kaegan Chambers, Monroe: in a 48-7 win over Rocky River, the Redhawks QB was 7-for-9 passing for 207 yards and three touchdowns. He ran five times for 40 yards.

Ian Cline, Providence Day: in a 42-7 win over Charlotte Christian, Cline had 14 tackles and a quarterback hurry. On offense, he ran 10 times for 101 yards and three touchdowns. He caught a pass for 12 years.

Chris Daley, East Lincoln: in a 28-14 win over Lincolnton, the junior running back ran 25 times for 190 yards and a touchdown. He also had 2-point conversion run.

Owen Farrell, Charlotte Christian: in a 41-36 win over Belmont’s South Point High, Farrell completed 15-of-23 passes for 225 yards and two touchdowns — connecting with receiver Micah Gilbert 10 times for 173 yards and both scores. Farrell also ran 10 times for 39 yards.

Matthew Gaskins, Metrolina Christian: in a 35-0 win over Charlotte Latin, Gaskins ran 15 times for 154 yards and two touchdowns. Teammate JD Williams (169 all purpose yards, two scores) also had a big game.

Tyler Green, Cannon School: in a 31-10 win over Ravenscroft, Green completed 28-of-41 passes for 383 yards and three touchdowns. He ran six times for 33 yards.

Nolan Hauser, Hough: Clemson commit and MaxPreps preseason All-American kicked two field goals in 20-17 win at SC 5A state champion Dutch Fork Friday. The second one tied the national career record for field goals at 56.

Anthony Hawkins, Hickory Grove: in a 47-0 win over South Wake, Hawkins had 226 yards rushing and three touchdowns on 10 carries.

Christian Holland, Forestview: in a 27-19 win over Freedom, Holland rushed 29 times for 192 yards and a score.

Danny Kennedy, Porter Ridge: in a 38-22 win over Hickory Ridge, Kennedy ran 10 times for 93 yards and a score and caught four passes for 82 yards.

Tre’ Robinson, Chambers: senior QB was 9-of-14 passofr 157 yards and two touchdowns in a 41-0 win over Glenn. He also ran for 89 yards and two touchdowns.

Kaleb Sales, North Iredell: in a 21-17 win over Alexander Central, Sales ran 18 times for 121 yards and a touchdown. He completed 17-of-23 passes for 178 yards and another touchdown. He also had a kick return for 39 yards.

Trenton Sherrill, East Gaston: in a 35-14 win over Stuart Cramer, the senior QB was 13-of-21 passing for 127 yards and a score. He ran 13 times for 119 yards and three touchdowns. East Gaston is 3-0 and beat Stuart Cramer for the first time in six seasons.

Na’Ledge Wright, JM Robinson: 29 carries for 167 yards and a touchdown in a 40-0 win over Concord.
