Vote: The Oklahoman's Athlete of the Week for Sept. 18-24 in cross country, softball, volleyball

Voting is now open for The Oklahoman's Athlete of the Week poll for Sept. 18-24 in cross country, fastpitch softball and volleyball. Fans can vote until noon Friday. Results of the poll will be in Saturday's edition of The Oklahoman.

Here are the nominees:

Oklahoma high school football: Four downs on Week 4's best upsets, rivalries and more

Boys cross country

Reese Fricke, Sr., Piedmont: He won the Class 5A title at the pre-state meet at Edmond Santa Fe on Saturday as he completed the 5-kilometer run in 16 minutes, 11.07 seconds. His performance helped the Wildcats win the team championship.

Aidan Jimenez, Jr., Moore: He placed fourth in the Class 6A race at the pre-state meet with a time of 16:24.93.

Carson Patten, Jr., Mustang: He placed second in the Class 6A race at the pre-state meet, finishing in 16:13.68. Patten was the top runner for the Broncos, who claimed the team title.

Girls cross country

Harper Barlow, Sr., Yukon: She had a fourth-place finish in Class 6A at the pre-state meet. Barlow completed the run in 19:18.43.

Kamryn Boller, Jr., Guthrie: She placed fifth in the Class 5A pre-state race. Boller finished in 20:21.98.

Natalie Duggan, So., Edmond Santa Fe: She won the Class 6A race at the pre-state meet with a time of 18:31.45.

Fastpitch softball

Mackinzie DeLong, Sr., Union City: DeLong went 7-of-14 (.500) in Union City’s 2-1 week. She had two home runs, three doubles and one triple for eight RBI and seven runs scored.

Julie Hoehner, Fr., Minco: Hoehner was nearly unstoppable at the plate in Minco’s 3-0 week. She recorded a .778 batting average with four doubles. As a catcher she threw out two runners and had zero passed balls.

Serenity Jacoway, Jr., Tecumseh: Jacoway has proven she is a dominant force in the circle and that hasn’t changed over this past week. The junior recorded a 3-0 pitching record with 24 strikeouts. She also batted .444 in the wins.

Volleyball

Emily Boyer, Sr., Carl Albert: Boyer was an All-Tournament honoree at the Bishop McGuinness Tournament, where Carl Albert won the silver division. She had 13 kills, six aces, 36 digs and 68 assists during the weekend.

Camryn Farley, Sr., Stillwater: Farley posted a hitting percentage of 61 during the past week. She recorded 29 kills and four aces with only three hitting errors in the Stillwater Invitational, where she was named to the All-Tournament team as Stillwater placed third.

Ally Fees, Jr., Mount St. Mary: Fees had a serve percentage of 96 and a hitting percentage of 33 in the Chisholm Trail Conference Tournament. The regular-season conference MVP racked up 59 kills, 10 aces and 45 digs as the unbeaten Rockets won.
