Kickapoo WR Shaun Campbell voted as News-Leader's Week 6 Player of the Week
After one of the more impressive catches you'll ever see on a high school football field, Kickapoo standout wide receiver Shaun Campbell has been voted as the News-Leader's Week 6 high school football player of the week.
Campbell had his best game of the season in a five-catch night with 87 yards and two catches that were worthy of SportsCenter in a 21-6 win over West Plains.
His most notable reception came in the first half when he leaped with one hand and snagged the ball out of the air while falling to his back and being slightly interfered with. His other came when he jumped over a pair of defenders to show his best Randy Moss impression.
This season, according to Digital Scout, Campbell has 14 catches for 222 yards and a pair of touchdowns.
Campbell has helped the Chiefs' offense win three straight. They are now 4-2 this season with road trips to Rolla, Glendale and Bolivar to close out the regular season.
