Polls close at noon Wednesday. Read about all the candidates and their accomplishments below.

You can vote multiple times. This is meant to be a fun way to show support for athletes. It is not meant to be scientific.

Nominations are submitted by area coaches or taken from stats reported to the Idaho Statesman.

GIRLS TRACK AND FIELD

Christine Huckins, Skyview: Brought home four gold medals from the 4A District Three meet. The freshman set new district records in the 100 (12.23 seconds) and 200 (25.29), and she led the Hawks 4x100 (48.88) and medley relays to wins (1:52.92).

Mariana Ramirez, Wilder: Set a pair of school records at the 1A District Three meet, finishing first in the 200 (27.41) and leading the 4x100 relay team (53.24) to another first-place finish.

Taliah Rogers, Victory Charter: Anchored the winning 4x200 (1:53.39), 4x400 (4:32.56) and medley (1:56.62) relays at the 1A District Three meet, leading the Vipers to their best team finish in history (third place). She also took second in the 800 (2:23.25), breaking her own program record.

Ciara Brown, Rocky Mountain: Finished first in the 200 (25.39) and 400 (58.23) at the 5A District Three meet. She also took second in the 100 (12.28).

Lydia Nance, Boise: Brought home three gold medals from the 5A District Three meet. She was part of the all-class leading 4x800 relay (9:22.41), the winning 4x400 relay (3:59.55) and added an individual victory in the 800 (2:16.77).

Maddie Romberg, Borah: Continued her season-long dominance in the throwing events, winning the shot put (35-5.5) and discus (131-4) at the 5A District Three meet.

Lauren McCall, Timberline: Won the 300 hurdles at 45.06 seconds, and led the Wolves’ 4x200 relay team (1:43.20) to a first-place finish at the 5A District Three meet.

Tatum Richards, Emmett: Brought home two titles from the 4A District Three meet, finishing first in the 100 hurdles (15.54) and the pole vault (11-0).

Lydia Lindsey, Fruitland: Won four gold medals at the 3A District Three meet. She ran the fastest 100 time (12.43) at the 3A level this season, added individual wins in the 200 (26.05) and long jump (17-3.5), and anchored the 3A-leading 4x100 (49.83).

Kailee Lerew, Weiser: Continued to shave time off her 3A-leading 400 mark (1:00.36) at the 3A District Three meet. She also led the Wolverines to gold in the 4x400 (4:08.81), another 3A-leading mark.

Kendall Clark, Melba: Added to her all-class lead in the triple jump with a mark of 37-2 at the 2A District Three meet. She also added wins in the high jump (5-2) and the 4x100 (50.70) and 4x200 relays (1:45.40).

Paiton Mills, Nampa Christian: Captured three district titles, winning the 200 (26.03), 400 (1:00.17) and leading the Trojans’ 4x400 (4:20.30) at the 2A District Three meet.

BOYS TRACK AND FIELD

Braden Ankeny, Marsing: Won three events at the 2A District Three meet, finishing first in the 100 (11.01 seconds), 200 (22.93) and 400 meters (50.32). He also ran a leg of the school record-setting 4x400 relay (3:36.65), which finished third.

Braedon Cornwall, Centennial Baptist: Became the school’s first state qualifier at the 1A District Three meet, finishing fourth in the 100 (11.89), third in the 200 (24.50) and fifth in the long jump (19-10.25).

Jacob Webster, Centennial: Ran 5A-leading times in the 100 (10.53) and 200 (21.46) at the 5A District Three meet. He also ran a leg of the state-leading 4x100 relay (42.51).

Crew Kelson, Rocky Mountain: Swept the 110 hurdles (14.82) and 300 hurdles (39.45) at the 5A District Three meet.

Noe Kemper, Boise: Ran the anchor leg of the state-leading 4x400 (3:22.80) and added a first-place finish in the 1,600 (4:17.87) at the 5A District Three meet.

Rakeem Johnson, Bishop Kelly: Recorded the state’s all-class best discus throw of the season (177-2) at the 4A District Three meet. He also won the shot put at 52-5.

Augustas Haynes, Ridgevue: Swept the 110 hurdles (15.22) and 300 hurdles (38.68) at the 4A District Three meet. His 300 hurdles time was the best in 4A this season.

Ethan Hammer, Columbia: Recorded a 4A-leading pole vault of 16 feet to win the event at the 4A District Three meet.

Caleb Davis, Fruitland: Won three individual events at the 3A District Three meet. He ran a 3A-leading 110 hurdles time of 15.30 seconds, adding wins in the 300 hurdles (41.92) and high jump (6-4).

George Speirs, McCall-Donnelly: Earned three first-place finishes at the 3A District Three meet, winning the 1,600 (4:35.37), the 3,200 (9:49.49) and leading the Vandals to gold in the medley relay (3:43.99).

McKoy Richardson, Melba: Finished first in the 110 hurdles (14.83), 300 hurdles (39.66) and long jump (22-8.5) at the 2A District Three meet. His 300 hurdles time and long jump mark are both the best among all 2A competitors this season.

Claytin Harper, Tri-Valley: Captured 1A District Three titles in the 100 (11.28), 200 (23.39) and long jump (21-6).
