Porterville High School boys basketball player Cooper Fish was voted by readers as the Visalia Times-Delta Tulare County prep athlete of the week.

In an online poll that closed on Feb. 3, Fish received 1,385 votes, or a 36.3% majority, of the 3,814 responses.

Fish dropped a team-best 12 points to lead the Panthers to a win over Mt. Whitney.

Here are the choices for the week of Jan. 30 to Feb. 3:

  • Jayden Dillihunt, boys basketball, Mt. Whitney: Dillihunt generated a team-high 15 points against Porterville.

  • Cooper Fish, boys basketball, Porterville: Fish dropped a team-best 12 points to lead the Panthers to a win over Mt. Whitney.

  • Kaine Garcia, boys basketball, Tulare Western: Garcia scored a game-high 22 points as the Mustangs defeated crosstown rival Mission Oak.

  • Milly Rojas, girls basketball, Monache: Rojas generated a team-high 16 points to help the Marauders down Porterville.

  • Olivia Saenz, girls soccer, Redwood: Saenz had four saves to the Rangers' shutout win over El Diamante.

  • Anthony Salinas, boys basketball, Farmersville: Salinas netted 20 points to lead the Aztecs to a win over Woodlake. He also had 25 points in a win over Wonderful College Prep Academy.

  • Javier Torres, boys basketball, Dinuba: Torres recorded 18 points, 11 rebounds and four steals to help the Emperors beat Hanford 61-55 in double overtime.

  • Isabella Zepeda, girls basketball, Mission Oak: Zepeda registered a double-double, scoring 15 points and pulling down 11 rebounds as the Hawks Tulare Western 49-31 in a West Yosemite League game.

Nominations are based on information available to the Times-Delta.

All high school varsity players from Tulare County are eligible to be on the ballot. Nominations must be received for consideration by Monday morning following that week's games.
