Timya Thurman, Linden basketball: Scored 20 points in a 54-29 win over Keith.

Aniyah Cabbil, Northridge basketball: Led a 66-46 win against Paul W. Bryant with 19 points and eight rebounds and scored 17 points in a 74-34 victory over Brookwood Friday.

Cate Olsen, American Christian Academy bowling: Finished as first-day medalist in the AHSAA Class 1A/5A North Regional after scoring 188-166-202 with a 556 series. Her 202 pins marked the bests single game of the day in 1A/5A.

Karley Michaels, Northside basketball: Scored 20 points to go with eight rebounds and six steals in a 53-16 win over Berry. She scored 11 points in a 40-19 win over Gordo.
