Your votes are in: Readers deem this Blue Springs shop Kansas City’s favorite dispensary
In a recent poll, The Star asked readers to name their favorite dispensary in the Kansas City metro.
Out of more than 5,000 votes, Stairway Cannabis based in Blue Springs was the top-voted dispensary out of the nine nominated dispensaries.
Stairway Cannabis is a local dispensary aimed at using marijuana to help empower people to make healthy choices for a happy and holistic lifestyle, according to the business’ website.
“We are all about making our patients and adult consumers feel like one of the family—the word ‘strange’ isn’t even in our vocabulary,” the website reads.
Stairway Cannabis racked in 2,110 votes from readers, knocking out From the Earth Dispensaries by only 22 votes.
“That means the world to us here,” Stairway Cannabis Budtender Christian Williams told The Star. “We try our best to make sure that we’re doing the best for the community.”
This week Stairway Cannabis hosted a Spirit Week leading up to 4/20. Thursday’s theme will be Pajama Day. All customers who stop by with pajamas on will receive 25% on their purchase. There will also be special giveaways and snacks.
Stairway Cannabis is located at 490 SW MO-7 Highway in Blue Springs.
“(We want to) make sure people feel comfortable and they like the experience when they walk in and out because in the end that’s what matters, that’s what brings back business and what makes people happy,” Williams said.
Coming in at a close second with 2,088, From the Earth is a dispensary franchise based in both Missouri and California. From the Earth has five local locations, including three in Kansas City, one in Independence and one in Raytown.
The dispensary prides itself on being built with community in mind and being made up of Missouri locals of all ages and walks of life, according to its website.
