Voting is about to begin for Penn State alumni-elected trustees. Get to know the candidates

Eight candidates are running for three alumni-elected seats on the Penn State board of trustees. Alumni who have a valid email address on file with the university will receive a ballot April 10 from psuelections@eballot.com. The voting period ends at 9 a.m. May 4. Eligible alumni who don’t receive an emailed ballot can request one.

There are nine alumni trustees in all, and they serve staggered three-year terms. The three trustees whose terms are up this year are Anthony Lubrano, Jay Paterno and Alice Pope. All are running for reelection to the board. A candidate forum was held in March, and a recording is available on the trustees website.

Here’s a closer look at the eight candidates, in alphabetical order, based on information provided by the board.
