Voting open to decide Broomfield's next mural

Apr. 13—Now through April 26, voting is open to decide the subject of a community-initiated mural in Broomfield's Community Park Ball Fields.

Three mural concepts are up for vote to be painted this summer.

"Shoot for the Stars" by Jennifer Vasquez would depict a large telescope and scene of the night sky to inspire interest in astronomy and space. "The Broomfield Dragon" by Kate Fitzpatrick would feature a whimsical and fun golden dragon against a blue sky designed to inspire Broomfield residents with fun and creativity. "Wild Strawberry" by Paige Brown would show large flowering and fruiting strawberry plants to showcase the native Rocky Mountain fruit.

Anyone who wishes to add their input can vote and view concepts of each mural on the Broomfield Voice website.
