VSP: One dead in weekend crash in Stuarts Draft

STUARTS DRAFT — Virginia State Police said one person was killed early Sunday morning in a two-vehicle crash in Stuarts Draft.

The fatal crash took place at 6:55 a.m. when a Toyota Tundra and a pickup collided in the 1300 block of White Hill Road, a press release said.

A day after the Stuarts Draft fatality, three people were killed on Interstate 81 in Augusta County at mile marker 208 in a head-on crash, according to Virginia State Police. Authorities are still awaiting a report to determine if the crash was caused by a wrong-way driver.

Both incidents remain under investigation. The victims have not yet been identified in either crash.
