Texas country musicians the Randy Rogers Band and Wade Bowen will play Aug. 17 at the Brown County Fair.

The announcement was made Friday morning by fair officials.

After 20 years together, the Randy Rogers Band has eight releases and four live albums, six of which have cracked the top 11 on Billboard's U.S. country chart. Rogers also has two releases with Bowen.

Charting singles for the Randy Rogers Band include "One More Sad Song," "Tonight's Not the Night (for Goodbye)" and "Kiss Me in the Dark."

The band is known for its Texas country sound, according to promotional material, and has worked with producers Dave Cobb and Radney Foster.

Bowen's sound has been described as "red dirt music," county music with its roots along the Red River that separates Texas and Oklahoma and the red dirt from which the river gets its name.

That's why Aug. 17 is being billed as Red Dirt Country Night at the Larry Gerlach Grandstand.

Bowen has released 12 albums in his career, including two with Rogers. "Hold My Beer, Vol. 1," a collaboration between the singers, reached No. 4 on the Billboard country chart in 2015.

"The Given" and "Wade Bowen," solo releases, both reached No. 9 on the country charts in 2012 and 2014, respectively.
