That’s because almost 200 participating Waffle House locations nationwide — including a few in the Triangle — are taking reservations to dine-in at the iconic, no-frills breakfast chain on Feb. 14.

More than 25 Waffle House locations across North Carolina will be participating in the chain’s Valentine’s Day event, including the following locations in or near the Triangle:

What will Waffle House offer on Valentine’s Day?

Dining in at Waffle House on Valentine’s Day is “bucket-list experience,” as described in a news release about the 2018 Valentine’s Day event. It’s the only day each year that Waffle House restaurants take reservations.

Southern Living reports that participating Waffle House locations will be “offering special menu items, dimming the lights and classing up their Formica tables with candles and white tablecloths” for the occasion.

Waffle House has been offering the Valentine’s reservation dinner for more than 15 years. The tradition began in 2008, when a Waffle House in John’s Creek, Georgia, offered the special evening.
