Wagner’s Prigozhin proposes Russia ends war in Ukraine

Prigozhin’s press service posted a message via Telegram, where he argues that the Russian “government and society now needs a firm end” to the war, with his “ideal option” centered around “announcing the conclusion of the Special Military Operation, in which Russia has achieved the results it wanted.”

He then goes on to claim that Moscow managed to “eradicate most of active male population of Ukraine and intimidate the rest.” Conveniently omitting Ukraine’s successful Kharkiv and Kherson counteroffensives, staggering Russian losses, Prigozhin writes that Russia has “cut (Ukraine) off the Sea of Azov and much of the Black Sea, captured a significant part of Ukrainian territory, and secured a land bridge to (occupied) Crimea.”

Wagner’s owner concludes by asserting that Russian troops now need to “hold on for dear life to the territories we already have.”
