Wahlburgers Restaurant Closes At Trumbull Mall

TRUMBULL, CT — The Wahlburgers restaurant at the Trumbull mall has closed, according to the Connecticut Post.

The chain restaurant, which is owned by Hollywood actors Mark and Donnie Wahlberg along with their brother chef Paul Wahlberg, opened at the Trumbull mall in 2017 with much fanfare. Mark Wahlberg visited the restaurant last June.

The Wahlburgers in Trumbull, which opened under a franchisee, was the restaurant chain’s only location in Connecticut.

The Post reports a handwritten sign stated the restaurant was closed “until further notice” but Trumbull’s economic development director said she doesn’t expect the restaurant to reopen.

The Trumbull location is no longer listed on the Wahlburgers website and the Facebook page is no longer available.

The restaurant chain, which was launched in 2011, and the Wahlberg family was the subject of an A&E reality TV show.

“When Chef Paul set out to create a family restaurant, things got interesting quickly,” reads a post on the restaurant’s story on the Wahlburgers website. “See, Paul’s a Wahlberg, and the Wahlbergs are no ordinary family.
