Waiver submitted to move boy charged in Tanglewood Middle School shooting to adult court

A waiver has been submitted to move a child accused of killing a Tanglewood Middle School student from juvenile court to general sessions court, according to the 13th Circuit Solicitor's Office.

The Solicitor's Office filed the waiver with family court and a family court judge will ultimately decide whether the 12-year-old charged with murder would be tried in adult court.

No date was set for when this decision could be made. The Solicitor's Office declined to disclose the basis for requesting the 12-year-old's case be moved to adult court.
