Cook County opened its pilot program on Wednesday for walk in appointments for the COVID vaccine. People can walk in two mass vaccination sites: Matteson and Tinley Park.
- Cook County trying a new approach to vaccinations, welcoming walk-ins at two suburban vaccination sites starting Saturday, no appointment necessary. You can register on site at either the Tinley Park or Matteson's mass vaccination site. Important note, Tinley Park is using Moderna. Matteson uses the Pfizer vaccine, which is the only one approved for 16- and 17-year-olds.
