Walk through history, see actors portray real events at Crestview's Juneteenth celebration

CRESTVIEW — The city's Juneteenth Celebration has been scheduled for Monday.

The event will last several hours and will involve all facets of the community, including educational institutions, community organizations, local officials and churches.

Attendees will be able to literally walk through history, stopping at various points along a physical timeline where they will hear from actors emulating real characters who took part in the events that led to the announcement of freedom to slaves in Galveston, Texas.
