Walker Art Center to expand hours in June, will continue COVID protocols

May 18—Walker Art Center has announced expanded hours starting June 3.

The Minneapolis museum will be open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursdays, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sundays.

All visitors need a ticket, even for free admission. See walkerart.org/visit for details.

Visitors over the age of 2 are required to wear masks, remain socially distant from other visitors and to wash hands frequently. The Walker "aims to create a near-touchless experience for the visitor and will have hand sanitizer units throughout, increased cleaning efforts and signage to help guide visitors during their visit," according to a news release.

The outdoor Minneapolis Sculpture Garden continues its regular hours, from 6 a.m. to midnight seven days a week. Visitors are encouraged to use social distancing practices in the garden.
