Walking Dead game starring Rick Grimes announced, covering seasons 1-4
The Walking Dead: Destinies has just been announced, inviting fans to go back to seasons 1 to 4 and reconnect with some of the show's most iconic characters.
Similarly to Telltale's The Walking Dead games, which achieved huge critical and commercial success, especially with the first one, choice is a big factor in Destinies.
This time around though, your choices will affect how important scenes from the show play out, with the trailer showing the example of Jon Bernthal's Shane Walsh killing Andrew Lincoln's Rick Grimes and then leading the group, rather than other way around.
The game's press release also teases that the Governor can join the good guys, essentially this is The Walking Dead fan-fiction: the game.

That's not all there is to gameplay, however. There's tons of third-person zombie slaying with various weapons, including katanas and crossbows. There's also resource management, stealth and camp defense mechanics.
You will be able to play as over a dozen characters from The Walking Dead, including the aforementioned Shane and Rick, as well as Michonne, Carol Peletier and Daryl Dixon.
Destinies is being developed by Flux Games, who previously made Cobra Kai: The Karate Kid Saga Continues and Cobra Kai 2: Dojos Rising.

Meanwhile, Lincoln is reprising the role of Rick again for what was initially announced as a movie/trilogy of movies, but is now a TV spin-off due next year.
The Walking Dead: Destinies can be pre-ordered now at an RRP of just £39.99, and will be released soon on PlayStation 5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.
