Wall of Vets Protesters March During Night of Relative Calm at Portland Justice Center

Small groups of protesters lit fires or set off fireworks, eyewitnesses reported, during largely peaceful anti-racism protests in Portland late on July 31 that saw police stay away for a second straight night, local reports said.

The Wall of Vets, an activist group who describe themselves as military veterans working to fulfill their “oaths to the Constitution,” returned, marching outside the fence of the federal court building that had been a hotspot for clashes between protesters and federal officers for weeks.
