Walled Lake swimmer goes missing during Wednesday evening storm

A swimmer went missing Wednesday evening in Walled Lake and authorities are still on a search, according to CBS Detroit.

Three people, who were on a boat, decided to swim in the water, according to CBS Detroit, but as a storm moved in, the swimmers got separated. Two of those swimmers returned to the boat and the other swimmer disappeared, according to CBS Detroit.

It was reported dive teams searched the water until bad weather caused them to stop. The search continued Thursday morning, the Oakland County Sheriff's Office told CBS Detroit.

The Free Press spoke with dispatch at Oakland County, Novi and Walled Lake police departments, but is unclear which department is handling the case.
