Apr. 8—State police at Hazleton are investigating thefts from unlocked lockers at a Hazle Twp. gym.

A 52-year-old Hazleton man said he arrived at Planet Fitness, 5 Laurel Mall Drive, on Sunday around 9:30 p.m. and left around 11 p.m. That's when troopers said he learned his wallet, containing credit cards and cash, was missing from a locker.

A 19-year-old Hazleton woman was at the gym from 8 to 9 p.m. that same day and, as she was preparing to leave, went to the women's locker room, finding her purse open in a locker and her wallet and house keys missing, troopers wrote.

Troopers said using a lock will deter thefts and ask that all suspicious activity be reported.

Anyone with information can call police at 570-459-3890.
