Walmart plans to build a fulfillment center in Olive Branch, bringing 250 new jobs to the area.

The center, part of a $90 million corporate investment, is the retail giant's first fulfillmnet center in Mississippi and is being built to handle Walmart's growing e-Commerce business.

Olive Branch has a recent pattern of strong industry recruitment. In October of 2021, Voyant Beauty, which makes beauty and personal care products, announced a $13.7 million expansion at its Olive Branch facility, retaining 57 existing jobs and creating 80 new ones.

Walmart operates 86 retail stores and employs more than 25,000 workers in Mississippi. According to Business Wire, the center is set to open in Spring 2022 and is hiring for positions. It will be located at 10480 Marina Drive.
