Walmart to unveil remodeled East Brunswick store Friday

EAST BRUNSWICK – Walmart Supercenter on Route 18 will celebrate the completion of its remodel Friday.

Festivities will kick off at 8:30 a.m. at the store at 290 Route 18 where associates will celebrate with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, followed by a community celebration. In addition, a community-inspired mural will soon be on display.

Highlighted features include a reconfigured store layout providing more convenient access to highly shopped areas; improvements at checkout; entertainment of the future, providing shoppers with access to top brands and the latest entertainment technology and refreshed interior and exterior, including paint and signage for easier navigation through the stores.

Walmart Supercenter on Route 18 in East Brunswick will celebrate the completion of its remodel Friday.

In New Jersey, Walmart serves customers at 70 retail units and online through Walmart.com and its family of brands. The company employees 23,864 associates in the state.

Walmart lays off hundreds of employees and requires others to relocate
Walmart on Tuesday announced layoffs affecting several hundred jobs at the retail giant’s campus offices. It also said it will require most remote workers and personnel in its Dallas, Atlanta and Toronto offices to relocate to its primary offices in Bentonville, Arkansas; Hoboken, New Jersey; and the San Francisco Bay Area.
