Walnut Capital announces Jeni’s Splendid Ice Cream, Gi-Jin coming to Bakery Square

Jeni’s Splendid Ice Cream will set up a 1,600-square-foot scoop shop, its first in Pittsburgh, next to AVP at Bakery Square this summer.

To hear him confirm the basic details, Walnut Capital Partners founder and Chairman Gregg Perelman is excited to have them and said the goal is to get the new shop open this summer.

“It’s taken me a couple years but I’ve landed them,” he said, noting Jeni’s “amazing following throughout the country” and calling it a “great brand.”
