BOYS SOCCER

Walsh Jesuit 2, Cuyahoga Falls 0

The Black Tigers hoped to send their home for the last 25 years out with the win, but it was not to be.

Walsh Jesuit (2-2-1) dominated possession and shut down the Cuyahoga Falls offense to win Thursday in the final game at Laybourne Field. The Black Tigers (2-2) kept things tight for most of the game, but did not mount an offensive threat.

After a couple near misses, Walsh opened the scoring off a corner kick. Carter Madden served the ball to the back post and Jack Burke put a textbook header into the net.
