Walsh University baseball headed to NCAA Division II regional at Wayne State
Walsh University will travel to Detroit to face Wayne State In the opening round of the NCAA Division II Baseball Tournament.
The Cavaliers are the No. 7 seed in Midwest Region 2. Wayne State is seeded second. Game time is Thursday at 2:30 p.m.
The winner will play No. 3 Illinois-Springfield or No. 6 Ashland in the second round. Walsh beat Ashland on Saturday to win the Great Midwest Athletic Conference Tournament championship. It was Walsh's first G-MAC baseball title, setting the stage for the Cavaliers to make their first trip to the NCAA tournament
The regional games will be played Thursday through Satur. All regionals are double elimination.
