A new ride, fireworks and a brand-new land?

Disney executives say it’s on the table and in the works for Walt Disney World in Florida.

Disney executives had big announcements at the Disney D23 expo over the weekend.

Executives say the beloved “Happily Ever After” fireworks will return to the magic kingdom with an updated spark.

That won’t be the only addition lighting up the skies at Magic Kingdom.

Disney also shared a target opening date for “Tron Lightcycle Run.”

The coaster-based ride is expected to open in spring of 2023.

Imagineers also shared an update on the re-theming of Splash Mountain.

The water ride will be reimagined into a Tiana’s Bayou Adventure — a journey that will follow the princess and her friends.

The reimagined ride is anticipated to open in late 2024.

That’s not the only re-theming news, though.

A big change that had fans talking online, was the announcement of a potential overhaul of DinoLand in Animal Kingdom.

Disney says its not official yet but it is are exploring a potential retheme to Zootopia or Moana.
