Many young boys want to grow up and be just like their father. Except Chris Hemsworth’s son.

In a candid caption accompanying an Instagram post of Hemsworth and his son holding hands, the Marvel Cinematic Universe star admitted that his son said he wanted to be Superman instead of his dad’s character Thor.

“Holding my little man’s hand and asking him the age old question,” Hemsworth wrote. “‘What do you want to be when you grow up?’ ‘Dad I want to be Superman’ Lucky I have two other kids.”

The post garnered attention from many of Hemsworth’s celebrity friends including Jason Momoa, who portrayed Aquaman in recent Warner Brothers and DC Comics films. Momoa joked himself that his son Nakoa-Wolf, 12, wanted to be Batman.

“Yeah wolf wanted to be Batman,” Momoa commented, adding laughing faces and heart emojis.

Some of Hemsworth’s Marvel co-stars got in on the action as well.

“Hahahaha,” commented Josh Brolin who played the villain Thanos in the latest two Avengers movies.

Ryan Reynolds, who plays Deadpool commented heart emojis and a laughing face.

The photo Hemsworth posted also garnered plenty of attention for his legs, prompting his brother to comment.

“Bro?! You’ve been skipping leg days again?!” Luke Hemsworth commented.

The Thor star is currently filming “Thor: Love and Thunder” the fourth installment in the franchise that is set to be released in February 2022.
