Want to get away for Masters Week? Augusta Regional Airport expands non-stop destinations

Tens-of-thousands of visitors will be coming in and out of Augusta from all over the world during the Masters Tournament. In order to meet those needs, Augusta Regional Airport will be greatly expanding its services, including several new non-stop destinations.

This year’s tournament is scheduled from April 6-9, but these new flight offerings will be going in the days before and after the tournament.

The airport’s executive director Herbert Judon said they are privileged to serve so many visitors, but also hopes local residents will use the expanded services to take new and exciting trips.

Here are the new non-stop destinations that are available to Augustans for roundtrip getaways:

Austin, Texas

American Airlines is offering three flights to and from Austin. Trips to Austin are almost three hours long, and trips back are just over two hours. Roundtrips cost $336. Here is the schedule:

  • Sunday, April 2 to Austin at 1:36 p.m.

  • Thursday, April 6 to Augusta at 9:48 a.m. and to Austin at 1:35 p.m.

  • Monday, April 10 to Augusta 9:47 a.m. and to Austin at 1:36 p.m.

Boston, Massachusetts

American Airlines is offering seven flights to and six flights from Boston. Trips to Boston are around 2.5 hours, and trips back run approximately 2 hours, 40 minutes. Roundtrips vary in price, with the lowest at $233. Here is the schedule:

  • Sunday, April 2 to Boston at 3:35 p.m.

  • Monday, April 3 to Augusta at 12:19 p.m. and to Boston at 3:35 p.m.

  • Wednesday, April 5 to Augusta at 12:19 p.m. and to Boston at 3:33 p.m.

  • Thursday, April 6 to Augusta at 12:54 p.m. and to Boston at 4:03 p.m.

  • Friday, April 7 to Augusta at 12:19 p.m. and to Boston at 3:33 p.m.

  • Sunday, April 9 to Augusta at 5:30 p.m. and to Boston at 8:45 p.m.

  • Monday, April 10 to Augusta at 12:23 p.m. and to Boston at 3:33 p.m.

Chicago, Illinois

American Airlines is offering several flights to and from Chicago. Flights will run about two hours both ways. Roundtrips vary in price, with the lowest at $303. Here is the schedule:

  • Sunday, April 2 to Chicago at 5:04 p.m.

  • Monday, April 3 to Augusta at 8:30 a.m. and to Chicago at 12:10 p.m.
