Want to buy Girl Scout cookies? Here's how you can get your fix in Stockton this year

It's Girl Scout cookie season, and amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic local Scouts are offering safe and convenient ways to get your hands on a coveted box (or 3!) this year.

"When the pandemic first started, there was a lot of uncertainty in how businesses would adapt to meet the needs of their customers," Kelly Parisi, head communications for Girl Scouts of the USA, told USA Today.

The pandemic hit Girl Scout cookie sales hard in 2021: national sales dipped below the usual $800 million average as many troops stopped selling in-person.

But the challenge had a silver lining. From QR codes to Doordash delivery and a new Cookie Finder app, Girl Scouts have developed several new routes for customers to purchase a box and support their local troop.

Girl Scout troops are back to selling in-person at businesses across Stockton this year.

But if you'd prefer a low-contact route for satisfying your cravings for Thin Mints, Tagalongs or Adventurefuls, there are multiple options for delivery:

Cookie Finder App — The app, with both Apple and Android versions, lets you buy cookies for shipment to your door. It also provides an overview of cookie flavors, as well as information about which troop your purchase is supporting.

For those looking to buy in-person, the app also includes a map of Girl Scout booth locations, dates and sales hours.

Doordash — The Girl Scouts are partnering with Doordash to deliver 3-packs or multi-packs of cookies to your door, including a free box for orders over $25. Check here to see if Doordash will deliver cookies to your address.

Porch Pixie Program — You may have received a flier from a local Girl Scout for this contactless delivery program. It allows you to buy cookies by scanning the flier's QR code or filling out the order form and texting a picture to a local Scout.

You can choose a Direct Ship option or have a Girl Scout drop your order at your door.
