With Earth Day on its way, Onslow residents are ready to put on their overalls and gardening gloves to save the environment.

Earth Day is on Friday, April 22 and is a day dedicated to address and demonstrate support for environmental protection.

For those who can't make it to any events, residents can celebrate Earth Day (and every day) by planting trees or flowers, cleaning up the roads and beaches or riding their bike to work to cut down on emissions.

Here are five events the Onslow area has planned to participate.
