The summertime is the perfect time to travel to restaurants you’ve been eager to try and enjoy the views while you dine.
South Jersey is a place where you can experience great dining views, from Burlington County down to Cape May County.
The Jersey Shore certainly has its share of restaurants where the dining may include a backdrop of the Atlantic Ocean.
But closer to home, there are also plenty of restaurants that offer spectacular views of the Delaware River, Rancocas Creek or various lakes.
Here's a few to check out:
Carlucci’s Waterfront, Mount Laurel
The popular establishment is located on the banks of the Rancocas Creek in Mount Laurel.
The views of the creek are wonderful and the outdoor eating area has been expanded.
There is also plenty of inside dining space available as well.
Owned by the Capuano family which has been in the restaurant business for more than three decades, they have kept the same homemade traditional Italian recipes that have been passed down for generations.

Chart House at The Golden Nugget, Atlantic City
The waterfront view overlooks the marina.
The Chart House is known for its seafood, fresh fish specialties, steaks, slow-roasted prime rib and its original lava cake.
Chart House began more than 60 years ago in Hawaii and today has 24 waterfront restaurants and showcase locations, known for having impressive views.

The ChopHouse, Gibbsboro
A "modern, airy and comfortable" atmosphere awaits.
A drink selection includes hand-crafted cocktails, a wine list, draft beer and specialty martinis, including a house-infused pineapple martini.
Guests can drink and dine inside or lakeside on the deck, year-round, where the views of Silver Lake are particularly impressive. The deck is complete with a bar and fireplace.

Harbor View Restaurant, Cape May
A beautiful waterfront view awaits diners, whether they arrive by car or boat.
There is both indoor and outdoor dining available, including a large outdoor deck, which often features entertainment.

The deck menu includes freshly made seafood, hot sandwiches, including fish tacos and lobster rolls. The air-conditioned dining room offers a variety of fresh seafood entrees, veal dishes, steaks, chicken and pasta.
But, what’s the sense in going to the shore if you’re only going to stay indoors?

Mike’s Seafood and Dock Restaurant, Sea Isle City
The website states it’s “Sea Isle’s family tradition for over a hundred years.”
The eatery, which has been at the same location, is located in Sea Isle’s historic Fish Alley.
Mike’s offers fresh and cooked seafood platters, party trays and more.
Customers can do takeout, pick up food from the cases in the fresh seafood market to cook at home or visitors can also be served at the Dock Restaurant located on the water with views of a true working port where boats unload fish, scallops and lobster on a daily basis.

Riverwinds, West Deptford
Visitors can experience beautiful views of the Philadelphia skyline across the Delaware River.
The fine-dining establishment has four dining rooms two bars and a large outdoor patio with the waterfront views.
You may get to see some airplanes take off or land at the nearby Philadelphia International Airport.

The Crab House/Two Mile Landing, Lower Township
Two Mile Landing Marina has two restaurants in one scenic location with waterfront dining.
The Crab House is to the right and offers a casual menu and plenty of live music. There are three bars, an indoor dining room and three outdoor dining areas. Two Mile Landing, which is to the left, is more elegant but still offers a casual beach attitude.
Gorgeous sunset views are on tap.

The Surfing Pig, Wildwood
This Jersey Shore spot is known for its BBQ, full bar service, entertainment and beautiful sunset waterfront views.
The BBQ dishes are slow-smoked with real wood.
They also offer seafood and the menu is moderately priced.
Since the restaurant has retractable walls, diners can feel as though they are sitting on the marina, looking out over the water.
