What if you want to eat out for Thanksgiving?

Some people prefer to dine out for Thanksgiving dinner.

Here are some Beaver Valley restaurants that will be open and serving Thanksgiving menus that holiday:

Quality Time & Carry Out, New Brighton

The downtown New Brighton restaurant hosted Thanksgiving dinners in 2019, but wasn’t able to last year during the pandemic.

"We’re excited to see the families again who have begun to make this a tradition with us," Quality Time owner Langdon McComas said. "The restaurant is expected to be at capacity for most of the day, as it’s been one of our busiest days. Four years ago, we started the holiday buffet as a way to continue getting our name out while also being able to have our family still eat with us."

Now with the amount of dine-in and catering orders anticipated, those family members might be put to work.

Those Thursday, Nov. 25 hours will be 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

"The menu will be the classics," McComas said. "Turkey, gravy, stuffing, mashed potatoes, casseroles and more.

Grand Valley Inn, Fallston

"We have been open for a Thanksgiving buffet for five years or so now," Grand Valley's general manager, Joe Rubino, said.

"The year before we decided to open, we were getting a lot of calls asking if we were open. Finally, we started asking callers why we were getting so many calls, and the answer was that many places that used to be open (for Thanksgiving) were no longer open," he said.

"We usually serve about 500 in-house and another 100 or so takeout," Rubino said. "We fill up very fast. We have turkey, ham, roast beef and all the fixings.

Thanksgiving hours will be 11:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., by reservation only.

Beaver Valley Golf Club, Patterson Heights

Beaver Valley Golf Club, the fourth-oldest golf course in Pennsylvania, will host a sit-down Thanksgiving buffet from noon to 3 p.m. Nov. 25 with turkey, ham, prime rib, stuffing, green bean casserole, sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, corn, tortellini and a sun-dried tomato cream sauce, and all sorts of desserts. Reservations are required at 724-846-2211.

Takeout orders, with turkey, ham (no prime rib) and the fixings will be offered as well.

Club at Shadow Lakes, Hopewell

Seatings at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. feature culinary creations by new chef Greg Powell.

The carving station includes New York strip, roasted turkey and honey-glazed ham.

The buffet has whipped Yukon potatoes, sweet potato casserole, peaches and cream corn, mac 'n cheese, roasted carrots and Fuji apples, traditional stuffing and cranberry relish. The salad station has mixed greens and fixings, fresh fruit, wedding soup and artisan bread.

Desserts are pies and cakes. Pre-paid reservations at 724-375-5511.

Advance pick-up

A number of local restaurants, such as Shakespeare's Restaurant & Pub in North Sewickley Township and Spanky D's Restaurant & Boat Yard Bar in Bridgewater, offered Thanksgiving meals for pickup on Thanksgiving Eve.

Due to staffing and uncertainty about supply chain availability of products, Vic's Oven in Bridgewater decided not to offer its usual Thanksgiving menu, but instead is providing a cheeseboard pop-up. Order boards at boardgamesbutmakeitcheese.square.site for pick-up on Nov. 24.
