In 2023, the Sacramento airport added nonstop flights to Miami as well as seasonal nonstop flights to Toronto. Direct flights to the Canadian city will return in May.

Direct flights to Eugene, Oregon, and Nashville will begin in June and direct flights to Detroit begin in July, according to Sacramento County Department of Airports spokesman Scott Johnson.

Sacramento airport officials are now hoping to attract an airline that offers nonstop service to Europe, The Sacramento Bee reported Tuesday, with a new initiative that focuses on service to an unspecified city in Germany.
