Whether you're in the mood for fresh, locally grown produce or ready to dig that shovel into the ground and start planting, there are plenty of farmers markets across Newport County that can help out.

Options are available both on and off the island, with various markets taking place four days a week and creating plenty of possibilities to find one that fits your schedule.

In addition to produce and plants, some locations also offer prepared foods, baked goods, meats, poultry and fish.

Aquidneck Community Table’s Growers Markets

According to the website, "Aquidneck Community Table’s Growers Markets provide easy access to seasonal, regionally-grown food and greater awareness of the benefits of eating fresh local foods for our health, the strength of our local economy, the viability of agricultural life, and the future of our earth.

"Our marketplaces feature both organic and conventionally-grown products that include fresh vegetables, cut flowers, herbs, fruit, plants, eggs, breads, baked goods, meats, seafood, cheese, salsa and prepared foods such as soups, vegan foods, Mediterranean and Middle-Eastern cuisine. All markets feature a changing roster of local artisans and food businesses."

Established in 2020, the market recently moved to the Tiverton Middle School to accommodate more vendors as it continues to grow. Offering a mix of produce, plants, crafts and more, it also typically includes live music.
